In late August 2009, Laura Kirkpatrick, editor of The Children’s Wear Buyer Magazine visited us here at our premises in Northern Ireland. We showed Laura round the premises and she met all of the team, seeing exactly how the company works. Intrigued about the history of the business and its rich heritage, Laura found out all about the company and featured us in a double page spread in the October edition.
As Laura states, “ Over the last 50 years, the region of Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, has been home to over 20 UK clothing manufacturers. Today the tailored schoolwear supplier is the last in the area—and stands as a stark reminder of the diminishing UK manufacturing industry. Equally, it proves the third generation business, which is headed by sales and marketing director Mona Houston and her brother and company MD Vijay Bedi, is doing something right to have survived. Something very right indeed.”
Along with having an inside front cover ad in this years Schoolwear edition of the magazine, and the fantastic feature by Laura, we also featured prominently in the product section of the magazine, with our garments featured in both the skirts and dresses section, and the shirts and blouses section! |
